We are delighted to finally announce the new date for our upcoming edition of the Paris Surf & Skateboard Film Festival: Saturday, November 29, 2025, at La Gaîté Lyrique, with a reimagined format adapted to the situation.
Originally scheduled for June over three days, we had to postpone the festival due to the temporary closure of the venue in the spring. Rather than giving up, we seized this opportunity to reinvent ourselves: this special edition will therefore focus on a single, immersive day—a format specific to this year due to the challenges encountered. Future editions will return to their usual multi-day format, as in the past. Throughout this day, we plan numerous activities for total immersion in the skate and surf worlds, with details to be announced very soon.
Furthermore, for the first time, we are introducing an online streaming option for select films, thanks to our partnership with the streaming platform sitnwatch.tv. This will allow us to reach an even broader audience, wherever they may be.
Like many independent festivals, we know that organizing such an event is a constant challenge, particularly this year when uncertainty led some sponsors to redirect their commitments. We fully understand this situation and sincerely thank them for their past support. Of course, we remain completely open to new partnerships: if brands wish to join this edition and contribute to our project, we would be delighted to discuss it with them.
Driven by the iconic DIY spirit of skate and surf cultures, we decided to hold this edition no matter what, as it was important for us to showcase the films we received.
This commitment reflects our deep conviction: in a context where cultural funding is becoming increasingly scarce, it is more essential than ever to offer spaces for expression and sharing that are accessible to all. For PSSFF 2025, we have curated a selection of films that, true to our standards, explore social dynamics through the lens of skateboarding and surfing. Organizing this festival today goes beyond a simple cultural event: it is a political act, a celebration of culture as a tool for reflection and social connection.
So join us in person at La Gaîté Lyrique or online from home. Come share this experience and support our independence.
Your participation, whether physical or virtual, is essential to ensure the vitality of this event, and we look forward to welcoming you!
Keep It Real.
